Depending on who you ask, peace can mean slightly different things and the ways people tell you can achieve it are numerous. One way, is through a peace offering. The point of a peace offering is to deescalate a situation by placating an adversary which puts power in the enemy’s hand. What does this have to do with the children of Israel? And why would they bring such an offering to God?
