We see it in the sudden abundance of plexi-glass in the stores, the required distance markers on floors, and the masks that we have to wear when we leave our houses. These experiences can seem like a low point in our lives in contrast to the mountaintops experiences we long for, but what if the mountaintop was actually different than the emotional gratification we think it is?
